Today I get to share the wonderful Evans family with all of you! I’ve known the Evans family for several years now… ever since my amazing best friend introduced me to her in-laws. So when Ron messaged me about getting some updated family portraits taken – I was incredibly happy to oblige.

I met the Evans family one sunny morning when all the kids were in town at their beautiful homestead out in Mt. Zion. After a quick little walk around the property, we found the perfect spot! The back patio served as a perfect space for some great backlight and very natural scenery with all the trees.

I love doing family portraits like this because I think it’s so important to document growing families. You know, your kids grow up and move out and then they get married… Your family has grown and changed. Then your kids start having kids… and again the family has grown and changed. So I think it’s wonderful to do these updated portraits with new additions and to document the growing grand kids too! We also always make sure to do individual family units too. That way everyone has immediate family portraits and the whole family together!
