It was a beautiful August morning as Ryan and I headed to Holy Family Catholic Church in Decatur, IL to capture the wedding of two awesome people. We arrived at the church a little early to capture the decorated church before guests arrived and to get some images of the bride and groom as they were getting ready. There were so many sweet personal touches to this wedding. The girls jewelry all made by the mother of the bride’s dear friend, Susie; the special socks Steven wore; the personalized hanger for Alison’s dress…. So many important little things to remember.

And since Alison and Steven opted out of a First Look, preferring to stick with tradition, as soon as everyone was ready, the ceremony began. Father Joe did a wonderful job with the service, and the reading and music selections were wonderful choices to capture the essence and sanctity of the event. Steven’s sweet face when he saw Alison walking down the aisle and the huge grin on Alison’s face as she focused on her soon-to-be-hubby. And they sealed their love with vows and rings and a kiss and the joy showed on their faces as they walked down the aisle, hand in hand, and then out the door through a myriad of bubbles.

There was so much laughter and fun and bliss in this day! Not just between Steve & Alison but amidst the bridal party and family and all the guests. Everyone was having fun! Everyone was happy and excited and thrilled for this wonderful couple! It was a joy to be a part of this wonderful day and be able to capture the love, laughter and fun that was Alison and Steven’s special day!
