St. Teresa Baccalaureate

2015 St. Teresa Baccalaurette

I warned you that I’d be sharing a lot with you in the coming weeks and I wasn’t lying. Today I’m sharing a very small glimpse at the St. Teresa Baccalaureate. The way St. Teresa does graduation is a a two day thing. First they have a Baccalaureate which includes a mass with the bishop and then directly following the mass is an award ceremony for the seniors. The following Sunday they have their formal graduation where they will receive their diplomas (which was actually this past Sunday, but I’m still working on those).

I met up with the seniors and Mary Davis a little early so that we could get one big group shot with all the seniors in their caps in gowns in front of the school The sun came out for a very bright and warm shot just in time. Afterwards, we headed back into the school – into the new cafeteria which has an adjoining chapel. This was where the whole mass and Baccalaureate ceremony took place.

The mass was done like any mass with hymns, psalms, scripture, communion, and the sermon from the bishop. Afterwards there was punch and dessert as they got everything ready for the awards. It was nice seeing all the different teachers come up and pass out the awards for their individual departments and things. And of course, I was beyond proud to see so many of my seniors called up to receive awards. Beautiful Miss Bree seemed to repeatedly be walking up to receive another acknowledgement.

Well enough rambling – here’s a little peek at the day. And if you’re wanting a peek at the full gallery you can view and order here: http://greentreemedia.zenfolio.com/p791107113
