Oh guys! This session was so much fun! I have been wanting to photograph this beautiful gal for quite some time now. Rachel is one of my friends from Renaissance, her unique style and spunky personality (and oh my gosh – her amazing hair!) has completely fascinated me. And being a photographer, I of course wanted to capture her in front of my camera!

But I was wanting to create something unique with her too – one of my fine art pieces, specifically a Your Story piece. But I just hadn’t found the right idea for her yet. I wanted this to be something special and significant. And then with everything that has been happening… the idea came to me and I knew that this was exactly what I had been waiting for.

Now I don’t have the fine art piece ready yet to show you all. I’m still working on that. But this girl is so cute and awesome – I couldn’t wait to at least share this fun portrait portion of her session! (I actually posted a sneak peek to facebook and my Uncle Tim actually described Rachel as a “living, breathing celebration”… truthfully I can’t think of a better way to describe her!

I so enjoyed spending time with Rachel. We had some real and honest conversations that were so, so good. Nothing makes me feel more whole than being present with people… hearing their stories, their truths. Gaining insight into another person’s reality and broadening my perspective of the world. I’m grateful for my friends who will have these conversations with me, and I’m grateful that Rachel is one of those friends.

But seriously – Rachel is the cutest, happiest little thing! She has this smile that just lights up the room! It’s infectious and makes you smile too. And we did a lot of laughing and smiling during Rachel’s shoot. Because that’s who Rachel is – a joyful, unique, real, and fun woman! I promise that I’ll get the fine art piece done as soon as I can, but until then – here’s a peek at some of the fun we had! 🙂
