Monday Mornings

August 9, 2010

No shoots today so I’m spending the day trying to get caught up on things that NEED to be done. My days have been so busy lately that sometimes I feel as though I am never going to complete my list of tasks. So I’m truly relishing today and all the possible chores I can cross off my to-do list.

I’ve already got the laundry started, the dishes cleaned, and the bathroom scrubbed. I’m finishing up my last set of edits for Britteny Kenney’s senior photo session and will hopefully have them up tomorrow. Once I get done with Britt’s pics I will start working on Lauren and Ryan’s engagement pictures from yesterday. My goal is to have them done by Friday and up on the zenfolio for viewing then as well.

Decent week for photo sessions this week. I’ve got Matthew Miller’s senior photo session Wednesday and the Wolfe-Nehmer wedding on Saturday. There may be a commercial/artistic photo shoot in Mt. Pulaski at some point this week, but I’m not sure what day that is going to be taking place.

On the design front, I’ve got updates to make to the Pana Chamber website, and I’m still working on getting Sarah K. Johnson’s website up to snuff. On top of everyone else’s design work I have my own to work on as well. I’m planning on updating some of the pages of my website to load a little quicker and to get the information pages corrected with the new pricing system.

Now to share some new images with you! Yay! My favorite part!
I picked up some marketing materials from Decatur Blueprint last week, and I’m absolutely thrilled! I can’t tell you how excited and simultaneously zen I feel at finally having my own brand and materials that all correspond with it and reflect it. Here’s a peek at my recently picked up materials:

**sigh** Isn’t it beautiful? I just really can’t get over the fact that I’m finally branded!

Well as a creative person I love art in all forms. I recently decided to give myself a break from editing photos to created something for myself. I have this wonderful friend, Kaela, who makes absolutely beautiful jewelry. So I thought I would take a crack at it. I’m definitely not as good as Kaela, but I’m pretty happy with my first attempt. What do you think?
