Meet Natalie | Photography Fun
Sometimes you just have to have some fun, especially when you’re a creative! Natalie is one of my awesome friends and fellow photographers and member of the CILPP with me. With our recent Headshot Swap we had decided to do some more head shots yesterday evening with her and our other friend Andrea. But with the cold, windy weather – our plans shifted a little and Natalie and I decided to get together anyway, scout out some fun locations and have fun photographing each other.
We met up at the Wabash Depot and drove around the downtown area just looking for some spots. We finished up our session at Farview Park. Shooting until it was too dark to go on. In spite of the wind and cold – we had a lot of fun and got some awesome shots trying out new things.
Natalie brought one of her fun vintage chairs and a bucket-load of scarves to play with. I brought some sweaters and a few scarves of my own. Natalie uses dominantly natural light in her work so she was curious about my lighting set up, and I was excited to try out her fish eye lens since I’d never used one before. It was a fun day of playing around with new techniques, laughing and just having a good time.
It’s nice to have friends in this industry. People you get along with and can have fun being inspired and creative together instead of feeling like competition. A support system of people that help you remember why you started and what you want your work to be. Because it’s easy to get caught up in shooting what sells and failing to find the soul in your artwork.
I had a blast with this gorgeous lady and I’m so excited to share with all of you some of the fun shots I got of her! Natalie is a super talented photographer and so fun! I’m so happy to call her one of my friends! Here’s a little peek at our photography fun!
