2016 McCoy Family Photography

I feel so honored to have gotten to document this beautiful family over the Thanksgiving holiday. I’ve known the McCoy family for years since their kids were in school with me and my brothers. It was so fun reconnecting with this group of awesome people and seeing how their family has grown and evolved!

As kids grow up and move away and have kids of their own, it can be hard to get everyone together. That’s one of the many reasons I love photographing families. Because I am given the huge responsibility and honor of documenting growing and changing families. And there is so much love within families… love of parents for their children, grandparents for their grandchildren, aunts and uncles for nieces and nephews. Getting to capture all the individual families and all that love between everyone is just such a joy and I’m glad I can do that for families like the McCoys.

Unfortunately the day we set aside for their family session was a dreary, rainy fall day. So instead of setting up their session outside, we set up in their home, which is absolutely beautiful! I brought a backdrop and posing stools so we were all set to get some great pictures of this family indoors. Everyone did so great for this session! All the kids behaved really well and everyone looked exceptional in their outfit options.

Without further ado – here’s a little peek at a few of their favorites!
