I am so excited to be sharing Kevin and Sonya’s Beloved session with you today. Beloved sessions are something I’ve been offering for a while and they’ve slowly been growing in shape, substance, and popularity. Whether you are newly engaged or married for 30, 40, or 50 years – Beloved sessions are designed to document what makes you as a couple special – to tell your story without the awkwardness of stiff, unnatural poses.

I met up with Keven and Sonya at Rock Springs for their session and we got super lucky with a warm, but not unbearably muggy day. These two lovebirds have been married for five years now and decided it was the perfect time to get some updated portraits for their home. Sonya informed me at their pre-session consultation that she and Kevin aren’t very photogenic, which was what initially drew her to a Beloved session. However, I don’t see an un-photogenic bone in their bodies when I look at these pictures! What I love most about these two is that they were able to relax and just be their adorable, awesome selves and that’s what really shines through in these photographs… the fun they have together, the laughter they share, and the support they provide one another.

It was an honor and a privilege to get to know Kevin and Sonya and I had an absolute blast capturing what makes their relationship unique. Here’s a little glimpse into their Beloved session…
