Gratitude Project: Fall 2015

Fall 2015 Gratitude Project

I figured today would be another wonderful opportunity to share some of my Gratitude Project with all of you. In spite of my fine art projects and the heavy workload this fall, I still seem to find time and have a desire to go out with my camera and document the things that move me! Especially on days that I’m struggling, going out and creating helps lift me up and remind me of how small I am in such a big wide world!

Some days it’s as simple as documenting the random little things in or around my home. Sometimes its photographing the farmers in the field. Sometimes its the way the light hits the grass outside. Or maybe it’s just the big wide sky. Other days I’ll take a few minutes to photograph the nature around me as I wait for my clients on a shoot. Sometimes I’ll pull over on my drive home because I can’t help but fall in love with the beauty of a yard barn surrounded by fall foliage.

These little moments where I allow myself to break away from my work and just absorb the beautiful scenery around me… they are crucial to my sanity this time of year. It’s can be really difficult to take a break from the work and create for yourself. But I find that I’m much better at my client work when I take the time to create for me. It’s in these moments where I allow the world around me to inspire me that I’m reminded of how small I am and that my God is so much greater than me!

So here’s a little peek at this segment of the Gratitude Project. Enjoy!
