I am so excited to share this session with all of you today. I feel so insanely blessed to have gotten to meet Sarah and Jake and capture their maternity session! When these two cuties came in for their consultation, I had so much fun chatting with them and getting to know them. It seemed like no time at all had passed when we looked up at the clock and realized over an hour had already gone by. When they left the Kirksville home studio that night – I already knew I adored these two and I couldn’t wait to capture their maternity portraits and their little nugget!

With all this cold, icky weather we’ve been having – we decided to shoot Sarah and Jake’s portraits indoors at our Kirksville home-studio. I was really excited to get to use our space again! With our big picture window and wide open front room – it’s the perfect space to create beautiful portraits for my clients. Jake and Sarah came in and we got started! I picked a nice neutral backdrop for them so that they could really shine!

Sarah did a fantastic job selecting their outfits! I loved their black tops with her fun blue and pink scarf. It was a perfect accessory choice since they chose to wait until the birth to find out what Baby Golden’s gender is. We got a bunch of really cute shots of them in these outfits and then we did a quick change into a brown and cream colored top. I loved this choice on Sarah – it showed off her perfectly little baby bump so amazingly! I mean seriously – this girl has the cutest preggo belly I’ve ever seen! Sarah was nice enough to let me play around with my lights a little too and we got them some different looks with it as well.

I can honestly say – I feel so so lucky to have met these two and I feel like we are friends already! Such amazing people who are going to be incredible parents! Baby Golden is so lucky to have them for parents! I could go on and on about these sweet people so without further ado – here’s a little glimpse at a few of their favorites!
