As I started editing portraits of a beautiful senior girl this morning I find myself overwhelmed with a feeling of insane gratitude! It’s funny that at the beginning of the year this year I was worried. Worried that the phone wouldn’t ring or the emails wouldn’t come in and that sessions wouldn’t get scheduled. And yet now I look at my full calendar and flip through all of the beautiful, wonderful people I have already had the honor of photographing this year (and the ones I still have yet to photograph) and I can’t help but feel incredibly humbled.

I look at the mothers who trust me to document the their newest pride and joy in the first moments of that sweet baby’s life. I see these amazing families who give me the chance to get to know them and capture what makes them special. I look at my high school seniors and am left in awe by their outstanding skills and talents and their beautiful souls. The couples who have let me into their lives and show me what makes their relationship unique. And the brides who have allowed me the honor of documenting their special days.

Each of you has left me feeling exceedingly blessed and humbled! I’m well aware of the growing number of photographers in the world and in our area as well. I know that you could go to someone else for your photographic needs. The sheer fact that you choose me for these important moments and milestones. That you allow me the very highest honor of getting to know you personally – truly leaves me speechless. I love what I do. I love getting to know my clients. I love the fact that you share who you are with me and let me help you see how amazing you really are – as a family, couple, individual.

You know – there are a lot of reasons I selected a tree for my business name and I was thinking – as silly as it may seem I really feel like you guys are my roots. I’m only as strong as my client support system – and that’s all of you. You are all so amazing and strong and you keep spreading the word about me. With so many amazing clients you help keep me growing upward and reaching towards creating more awesome art and providing art to others and as you continue to grow – my business can branch out and reach more people. It amazes me how great my support from all of you is and that is why I feel overwhelmingly grateful!

So today I simply want to say THANK YOU! If you have been a client in the past, if you are a client now or even if you just silently support me through your computer. You are the reason I keep doing this. You are the reason I write, the reason I keep sharing my art. You are the reason I love what I do. And you are truly a blessing!
