Last year was a crazy, awesome, busy year – which is largely thanks to all of you! So with this bitterly cold weather and the slowing down of work, I’ve been working on getting everything ready for all you wonderful people who will be visiting me in 2015! So that means some tweaks, some changes, and some exciting new additions – particularly for the Class of 2016 Senior Models!

As with every year, my pricing gets tweaked a little. Last year was my first full year without weddings and I’ll be real with you guys – I was incredibly nervous I’d have a serious loss in this transition year where I lost my wedding income. But lo and behold – the difference between last year’s gross income and this year’s was shockingly minimal! I cannot believe the support and love you guys have shown me this year and the amazing clients who have helped make this transition year amazing! So with that knowledge – our pricing has shifted much really this year – it’s basically been streamlined and simplified. Because I’m a simple straight-forward person so I want my business to be that way too!

Now to the things I’ll be doing differently this year. I’ll still do consultations at our Decatur location, but viewings will need to be scheduled at our Kirksville home-studio. When we re-built our home, we built it with our clients in mind and I want to be sure you get to enjoy the comforts we designed for you. In this space you can view your portraits on our big screen tv, sit on big comfy couches, and enjoy some fresh cookies. Our Decatur space is not set up for the experience I want to be sure you enjoy. So that will be a new shift for this year. I’d also like to encourage any of you that are interested in indoor sessions to come to our Kirksville location as well. It’s a natural light space and we have beautiful hard wood floors and multiple backdrops for you to choose from. So I’m really excited for you to get to start using the space we designed for you!

The biggest changes though are going to be to our Model Program! I’m so excited about this and I can’t wait to start talking to the girls about it. We’ll still be working with Maurices out at Hickory Point Mall to let our senior girls have the opportunity to model clothing lines for a real store, but I am also adding in some fun other shoots. I can’t share the details yet, but I will be contacting senior ladies I would like to include in this experience to come to our information meeting soon! This year’s going to be a great year to be a Green Tree Media Senior Model!

But outside of those small things (and hopefully getting pregnant) not much is changing around here. I will still be photographing seniors, couples and families & providing the type of experience and service I know that so many of you have come to love!
