Everett Evans First 48 Hours | Springfield, IL
You may recall seeing this little guy’s mommy and daddy on the blog many times before, most recently for their maternity session. I had been so looking forward to their little man’s arrival since the day Erin told me she was expecting. And you couldn’t ask for a more fitting due date – November 24th… Thanksgiving Day. And this little buddy is certainly something to be thankful for.
Mr. Everett Hayman Evans was born at 4:34 pm on Monday, November 21st. He was a pretty good size boy at 5 lbs 1.5 oz and 21 inches long. I love that this little guy came into the world with a full head of dark hair and I think we’re all pretty sure he’s going to have pretty awesome blue eyes like his mommy and daddy. He loved having his hands up by his face in mommy’s tummy and now that he’s born, he still loves having his hands there. He’s seriously such a sweet little man!
I feel insanely blessed to have been one of the lucky few to meet him within the first 48 hours of his life here on earth. I made the trip over to Springfield to see him and his parents the day after he was born. And there was nothing more perfect than walking into their hospital room and seeing this sweet family of three, calm, content, and happy together. Mama was already a pro at feeding and Everett is a really good little eater. Daddy is amazing at jumping in to help. And there’s just so much happiness and love here – it makes my heart so happy.
I love that Dan & Erin wanted to capture this special time in the hospital too. This is their first child and there was a lot of work and planning that went into getting this little guy here. Time slips by so quickly and it can be easy to forget these first moments. It’s humbling and wonderful to be able to preserve these moments for them so they can relive this fleeting time again and again. Without further ado – meet the newest member to the Evans family, Everett Hayman!
