It’s not every day I get to do a headshot/birthday session for someone. I was super excited when Dana asked me about doing a headshot/glamour shoot for her birthday. Doing this photoshoot made me realize that if we’re lucky, we get to have this opportunity during our senior year of high school to get photographs that capture who we are, and may wear multiple outfits to highlight different aspects of ourselves. But after the senior photos are done, we don’t really do that sort of thing again… at least it’s not typical. But why not? Maybe we need to come up with a special photo shoot for another milestone (or three) in adulthood where it’s not about a wedding or children.

In all truthfulness – that’s what this session was – it was a day of capturing the vast array of things that make Dana who she is. A pastor, a doctor, a businesswoman, laid back but also glamorous, soft but also touch when needed. I feel like we did a pretty great job of highlighting these different parts of all the things that make Dana a truly amazing individual. And it didn’t hurt that we had a lot of fun doing it too 😉
