Words cannot begin to express how special this session is today and how incredibly ecstatic I am to finally get to share this with all of you! Those of you who’ve followed my journal for any length of time have undoubtedly seen Dan and Erin many times. I’ve been blessed to photograph these two gorgeous people a number of times, but they are so much more than just clients. Erin is my absolute dearest friend. She is the sister I never had, the one I had spent my whole life looking for. This girl has seen the highs and the epic lows in our life (the fire and our infertility), and she has been an unwavering support through it all. She is a rare gift of a woman and I feel insanely blessed to call her and Dan my friends.

Every year, I get to take anniversary portraits for these two beautiful people in May. This year, Dan and Erin had just moved into a beautiful new home in Springfield and we figured it would be a perfect time to capture them in their new home setting. But this session has a little twist because Dan and Erin had a fun little announcement to make… Baby Evans will be arriving in November this year!!!

I cannot even begin to tell you how happy this news made me! Erin and I were having one of our weekly phone dates when she shared the news with me. I’m sure I let out a squeal and I know I felt nothing but complete and utter joy! I’m going to be an aunt! This news filled up my heart and brought me such uncontainable happiness. All I have to do is think about it – and I can’t stop smiling! ::sigh:: Even now – I just feel so much love for these two and their little one. I cannot fully describe it, but I feel so blessed that Erin has been sharing her pregnancy with me.

These two are seriously going to be the best parents. They are such strong, dedicated, kind, and loving people. Their little man is going to be so insanely loved and blessed to have Dan and Erin for parents. He is going to have amazing grandparents and he has no idea how loved he already is! I think we all are so excited to meet this little guy in November!
