Oh guys! This family right here – I love them! They just melt my heart and mean the world to me! I consider Katie one of my dearest friends! It’s so funny because in grade school, her hubby, Nathan, and I were super good friends. We hadn’t talked in quite a while – life happens ya know. But I love how God has a way of reconnecting us to people at the right times.

Katie and I connected when I started sharing about our infertility journey on the journal here. We shared in each other’s stresses and concerns and disappointments. And then wonderfully, wonderfully – they got pregnant! And I could not have been happier for these two beautiful people who are now a family of three with sweet miss Amelia! I feel absolutely honored that I get to photograph this sweet family when they come to the midwest all the way from California.

And I loved getting to spend time with the too just chatting. It was so fun seeing how much Amelia has grown since the last time I got to see them! I mean – I can hardly believe she’s a year old already! She’s getting to be quite the big girl! Super curious and interactive. And this little girl has the sweetest smile ever! She’s just such a little doll and I love seeing Nathan and Katie with her – it makes my heart happy!
