When I first decided to take the crazy leap of faith into this being my full time job, I’ll be honest – I was VERY green! I had just graduated from college with a BFA in Graphic Design and Photography. I’d taken a TON of photography and design classes as well as a handful of business classes. But running your own photography business – well that was a totally new thing for me. With a market that is super saturated with photographers it can be hard to know where to start. And for a lot of new photographers – the internet is the perfect place to start picking up information!
That being said, I try to do what I can to help other photographers since there were so many willing to help me! It’s why I helped co-found our local CILPPA group and why I try to be helpful whenever anyone asks me for advice. From time to time, I share tips and tricks or things that have helped me over the years. I also share glimpses into our local photographer meetings and I even have some templates, overlays and textures available to help make your workflow faster and your images pop. The Photography Industry is what we make of it, and I believe we can make it a wonderful, supportive, and strong community!
