Through the Eyes of a Child
I love kids! I really do! I enjoy when I get to play with my dear friend, Amber’s, little guy & gal. (You’ve seen them many times here on my blog since I am luck enough to get to take pictures of them on a rather regular basis.) Kids are just so entertaining! They have a totally different way of looking at the world than we do. I love the joy and excitement that’s so clearly etched on Charlie’s face when he sees a train go by. I love the curiosity in Angel’s face when she’s looking at something new. It’s so easy for us adults to forget the amazing things that happen each and everyday.
When I take pictures, I’m often trying to revert to my childlike sense of wonder. I look for those things that as a kid I may have found amazing and cool whether it’s a sunset or an old falling down barn. Sometimes it’s being curious, inquisitive, and observant, like noticing when Gabbi really smiles she gets a cute little wrinkle in her nose or how Meagan bats her eyelashes when she looks up at Joe or how tenderly Raeanna holds her new baby girl. It’s these little things, these moments that I want to notice and capture so you can relive them later.
Yesterday my family welcomed a new baby into our family. My cousin, Jay, and his wife, Stephanie, brought a beautiful new baby girl into the world. She’s so tiny! Weighing 4 lbs 15 0z and 18.5″ long. I can’t wait to help you guys get some pictures of your gorgeous new baby girl! Congratulations!
Here’s just a couple pictures my family sent me of the little angel:
Happy Wednesday!
