THRIVE April 2016 Shoot
It’s another month and the latest issue of THRIVE is out for all the upcoming April events and I’ve got a bunch of images to share with you from this issue! Not only did I get to do a couple shoots for the magazine – I also am featured in their Behind the Thrive section… which means I got to photograph myself photographing for Thrive haha. AND… if that’s not enough – I wrote my first article for Thrive this month too! I’m definitely going to have to get my hands on one of these issues because I’m pretty proud of everything I was able to contribute this time.
So first things first – I got to head over to the gorgeous Staley Museum and photograph Julie Staley for their upcoming grand opening. They have done a lot of work in this old building to refurbish it and it looks amazing. Actually my hubby used to work for John, one of the guys who’s been doing the amazing work on the floor in there. And it was wonderful to get to see all their handiwork first-hand! Julie was nice enough to let me snag a couple portraits of her both inside and outside the museum for her little feature in THRIVE this month.
Next, I got to pop in on Theater 7s rehearsal for Avenue Q. This play looks like it’s bound to be hilarious! I love the basis for this production – the idea is that these kids grew up being told they could do anything and realize the real world is a lot harder than their parents and sesame street made it seem. The play includes not only people but puppets and has several really catchy musical numbers! I’m hoping the hubby and I will be able to make it the show because it looks hilarious.
Avenue Q is also the shoot I had to photograph myself shooting for. So you’ll see one of the shots I snagged for that. And it’s the article I wrote – so if you want to read it – you’ll have to head over to the THRIVE website to check out the current issue.
Here’s a little peek behind the scenes for this month!
