Hi there! I’m Stephanie Rose Gagnon, a fine art & portrait photographer and avid blogger living in Kirksville, IL. I’ve carved out this little space on the internet to share about my photography, my life, and random little bits of advice I’ve learned over the years working as a professional in this industry.

I have been blessed to work with some truly amazing people, and I love sharing their awesomeness with everyone here! Between my college education (I have a BFA in photography and design) and 7 years in business, I have honed my skills and specialize in senior, newborns, and family portraiture. To date – I’ve photographed over 90 high school seniors and over 130 family & newborn sessions. As each session is completed, you’ll see me share our latest awesome client here on the journal. I also really love to write! It’s so much easier for me to articulate what’s going on in my head and heart through the written word than by simply talking. Lately my focus has been on the highs and lows of our six year struggle with infertility and the wait of our adoption journey. So you’ll find many posts about our personal life or helpful advice for others. Here’s a few of my favorites to get you started:

Lastly, I have recently fallen in love with Fine Art Photography. People have a lot of different ideas of what Fine Art Photography is, but for me – it’s the opportunity to create, tell a story, and visually portray something through the use of photography and compositing. Photography by nature is a storytelling medium, and through my Fine Art work I try to take the storytelling a step further. As I create pieces I try to share little bits about them, as well as behind the scenes peeks into their creation. Here’s just a few to get you started:
