Some Puppy Love: Rocky
You may remember my parent’s new dog, Rocky, from his puppy shoot last year. Well, it had been a while since I last photographed him, and I felt like playing around with my camera one afternoon. So I pulled out one of my favorite lenses and played with the pup!
I really love dogs. I’ve been a dog person for as long as I could remember. As a child, I felt like my grandparents’ lab, Shadow, was my best friend. I loved that dog and felt like we had a special dog. I remember spending hours as a kid reading books and gathering as much information as possible about dogs, their behavior, how to train them, etc. In fact, for a long time, I even considered being a veterinarian. (After job shadowing with our vet for the summer of my junior year, I realized that I couldn’t handle the heartaches that came with the job.)
Regardless, I’ve retained my love for dogs throughout the years. I love when clients bring their dogs (or other pets) to their sessions. These opportunities to work with animals fuels my love for them and gives me a chance to utilize the skills I acquired over the years. And this little guy always gives me a run for my money and a chance to really work on those skills! He’s such an active little guy and he loves to play. I have to work really hard to get those still sharp shots of him, getting him to sit still and look at me. It’s impossible to be unhappy with him though – he has so much love to give!
Here’s a little peek at little mister Rocky!
