Showin’ Some Love #2

As you already know my weekend rush of photography sessions started on Thursday and I’ll be busy through the whole weekend. So I figured what better time than this to share with all of you the things I’ve been loving this week.
* in, flew ants
I made friends with a truly beautiful girl when I was at school at ISU, Miss Amy Lynne, and her brother is a pretty cool dude who happens to be in this band. And the band he is in is called “in, flew ants.” I would probably classify their music as indie rock. It’s got a unique sound and I have found it really pleasant to listen to. So if your looking for some new tune-age, I would highly recommend giving it a listen.
* Dark Materials by Philip Pullman
Okay so I know this book has been renounced by the Catholic church, but I’m a sucker for fantasies. A friend gave me this book over a year ago and I just hadn’t had the time to read it until now. I must confess – this book sucked me in quickly. I started the book on Tuesday last week when the tornado hit and I am already almost finished with the the full book (the trilogy). If your looking for an exciting fantasy I would recommend it!
* Clairol Natural Instincts Rich Color Creme
I have never been much interested in coloring my hair. I have always been of the belief that we should try to love ourselves the way we are. A year or so ago, I decided to color my hair a slightly red tint as a surprise for my hubby. It never quite suited me though. I decided to try a new color a few months ago and I must confess I’m loving it. I still only color my hair occasionally but when I do – I use the coffee creme color on Clairol’s Natural Instincts Brand.
Finally….
* Small Towns
I know I mentioned this earlier this week, but I love living in a small town. I love the friendliness and the slower pace of people in towns like Sullivan. Everyone knows everyone and everyone is eager and willing to help each other. It’s a great community to live in.
Well that’s what I’m loving this week. Next week I should have at least a couple photo sessions edited and ready to post. So check back next week. 🙂
