Today I get to share another special session with you all today! Oh my gosh you guys – this mama was the second senior girl I photographed when I was brand new to being a business owner. I’ve had the joy of documenting her senior portraits, her engagement photos (and baby announcement photos for baby #1), her wedding photos, and now… now I get to photographer maternity and newborn photos for her miracle rainbow baby! I cannot begin to tell you how honored and happy I am to get to document so many different moments in this sweet girl’s life and I’m just elated that I get to be a part of this special moment in her story too.

Alanna and Seth are already amazing parents to the smart, handsome, and super funny Easton! And they are also parents to an angel baby in heaven. Losing a child, whether you’ve been able to hold them in your arms or not, is painful. It can change your outlook on many things, including your future family, and that’s exactly what happened for Alanna and Seth. After the loss of their sweet baby through miscarriage, Alanna didn’t want to try for another baby because the thought of losing another child was simply to painful.

But God had other plans… little mister Jensen is safely tucked away in his mama’s tummy and he is loved oh so much! I was so happy that Alanna gave me the opportunity to not only do some traditional maternity portraits for them out here in Kirksville, but she also let me create a fine art piece as well. We have some really lovely outdoor locations out by us and I always love the opportunity to work with them to create something a little different and unique for our clients. And I’m super happy with how Alanna’s rainbow baby fine art piece came together, but you’ll have to wait until next week to see that piece come together. I may have been planning for it for a while since I’d known for a quite a while I was going to be getting to do these for them.
