Today I get to share one of my favorite families with all of you again! I feel so lucky that I get to see this sweet family so often. And yet I can hardly believe that little miss Serrell is already 3 months old! Where has the time gone?! I swear it’s only been a month at the most since I did her newborn portraits but here we are – watching this little one grow!

I met Kyle and Mackinzey out at Camp Camfield which is an awesome conservation area just down the road from my Kirksville home-studio. It was a beautiful fall day. It had rained the night before so it wasn’t too hot and too cold either. And the grass was still a lovely bright green too! Mackinzey always brings the cutest little outfits for her girls to their sessions so I’m always excited to see what she’s brought. This time we had a cute little pink sequined dress for Serrell, some leggings and red diaper cover, the gown she wore for her newborn session, and then an adorable little dress to match big sister’s!

I had a lot of fun capturing this sweetie little three month old who looks a lot like big sister but is definitely her own unique little person. Ruey was a hoot and a half too – running around, hiding behind daddy to avoid the camera, helping me hold my light stand, and picking daddy’s blister. So of course, I had to snag a couple of her doing what two year olds do! And then we finished up the session with the family photo. I LOVE that Kyle and Macky get a family portrait every time we do a session! I hear so often from parents that it’s been 5, 10, sometimes 15 years since we last had family portraits done. So I love when parents decide to get their family shots taken too!
