Sam House Senior Photography | St. Teresa Decatur, IL
Today I am sharing the senior photography session of an awesome young man who attends Saint Teresa High School in Decatur. I was super excited when Sam’s mom contacted me about meeting to schedule and discuss his senior portrait session. Sam plays on the Saint Teresa football team so we had to try to work around his schedule to find a time when the weather was good that we could do at least part of his session. But luckily – we had one more fantastic Saturday left before it got super cold when we could capture some photos of Sam with his hunting gear.
We met out at Spitler Woods in Mt. Zion for part one of Sam’s senior session. It was the perfect fall weather and location to capture some awesome hunting images. Sam hunts both with bow and shotgun so I wanted to be sure we got images with both. I personally don’t hunt and I’ve never been strong enough to draw back on my husband’s bow – so I was really impressed with Sam’s form. I can tell he really is passionate about hunting and enjoys it a lot.
Once we got everything we wanted at the park, we headed down the road to his aunt’s house where he has a tree stand. We thought it would be really neat to get some photos of him up the tree stand with his bow. It was an awesome little location tucked away from the road. So peaceful and calm. We ended Sam’s session with a couple quick photographs of him with his dad and his cousin, Matt.
I had a lot of fun at part one of Sam’s senior session! I’m really looking forward to capturing the rest of his session in the spring when we can document his love of football and also get some fun images of just him! Here’s a little glimpse at a few of Sam’s favorites!
