I can’t believe it’s been over a week already since St. Teresa’s prom and graduation is quickly approaching! My how time flies! This was my first year photographing St. Teresa’s prom so I was excited and nervous to see how it would go. And boy did you guys exceed my expectations!

This year’s Prom was held at the Decatur Conference Center & Hotel in one of the ballrooms. This is actually where we had my junior prom. (I didn’t go to my junior prom but I helped plan, set up and tear down… way too many years ago haha.) It was kind of neat to be back here and see another prom talking place in the same room. The students and teachers in charge did a great job of getting the place set up – it really looked awesome! Of course – I was incredibly excited to see that David Lee’s DJ service was going to be dj-ing the dance. I’ve worked with him several times at LSA’s dance and he always does a phenomenal job! He’s great to work with and he makes sure the kids get great music and have a blast. So I was really happy to see him again.

As usual – I get set up a little early and then stay for about an hour and a half after the dance starts to give the guys and gals plenty of time to come up and see me and get their portraits taken. The Prom committee did a great job setting up their portrait area this year! I also managed to sneak in some shots of everybody dancing and the announcement of prom court onto the dance floor. It was a great night and everyone looked like they had a lot of fun!

Of course I have to share this little slow dance picture of my mom and dad too. They were immensely helpful! I wasn’t expecting so many people to come and see me and I really couldn’t have managed without them… Plus they’re pretty cute aren’t they? 😉
