Ryan and My 2013 Portraits
Every year, I get all dolled up, buy Ryan a new shirt and we head out to get our own portraits taken. I refuse to be the photographer who has no portraits with the people she loves. So every year for the past five years I’ve made sure we get updated photos, whether it’s with the help of friends or family or what-have-you. This year, I asked my friend Erin if she’d want to come out and help us get a few pictures of just me and Ryan and I’d take portraits of her and her hubby for their Christmas cards. And being the amazingly awesome friend she is, she happily agreed! 🙂
We have some really lovely places to shoot out our way and I wanted to highlight some of the nature-y goodness out here. We headed to a gorgeous little hunting area down the road at our perfect golden hour time and had some fun. I’d take a few pictures of Dan and Erin in a setting and then I’d rotate and have Erin or Dan take pictures of us. It was super fun! I could get everything set the way I wanted and let Dan and Erin shoot away! They did such a good job and we have so many pictures I absolutely love! Here’s a peek at a few of my favorites!
Ryan is a complete goofball and he’s always doing things that make me laugh. This little collage captures that perfectly! Then I, of course, wanted some photos with my furbabies. So a couple days later, I asked Ryan’s friend Dave to stop by
and help us out. And just like before, I got the camera set how I wanted and showed Dave what I was looking for and then it was just the trick of getting Kit and Lucy to look at the camera at the same time. It took a lot of missed shots but we finally got a couple good ones. Here’s a couple of my favorites!
This is my family. We’re a little crazy sometimes (especially my dogs) but there’s a lot of love here. There’s nowhere else I’d rather be than here at home with this wonderful man and my furry pups. I know that I’m very blessed to have such a loving place to call my home. I hope you all are having a magnificent Monday and I’ll see you here again very soon!
