I feel like I end up talking about Maurices all the time. But it’s one of those things where when you find something that really makes a difference for you – you want to share it with the whole world! And Maurices has been one of those things for me! I cannot even begin to tell you how thrilled I am to be partnered with store full of amazing and caring staff who care so deeply for their customers, and with a place that strives to make women of all sizes feel comfortable, happy, and beautiful in their own skin!

So today I get to share with you a recent SPLURGE party I was lucky enough to attend and document! SPLURGE Parties at Maurices are so much fun! Sarah, the store manager at our Hickory Point Mall Maurices, starts the evening off with discussing the different body types and how to tell them apart. They talk about what to avoid and what to wear to highlight your best features. At this particular SPLURGE party – we actually went around the room and stood up and helped everyone figure out their body types. It was really awesome because we were able to help each other and get to see how to tell the differences in different body shapes.

Of course Sarah being the amazing hostess that she is provided snacks for everyone too – bottled water, cupcakes, cheese and crackers, and grapes. And once we were finished learning all the essentials, everyone got to start looking around and trying out some new fun looks! Everyone had so much fun! And the Maurices girls are so great at helping you find something that you’ll love! They listen to what you do and don’t like and help you find other options. It’s not about the sale – it’s about seeing other women feeling great about themselves!

And that’s what I love about this store and these SPLURGE parties! There is so much cattiness and harsh words girls let fly at each other. I’ve seen girls be torn down by other girls… Heck, I’ve been torn down by other girls. But at Maurices – this is something I’ve never seen! As these women of all different ages and sizes tried on clothes that Sunday night, I got to watch as women encouraged one another. Instead of harsh words – compliments and genuine excitement were spread all night long! Many a “Oh my gosh! You look so good in that!” were exclaimed. I watched women who came in feeling less than excited about trying on clothes become excited about what they were seeing in the mirror.

And this is why I’m so thrilled to be partners with Maurices! This is the idea I’ve built my business on. Helping other people feel good about themselves. Showing them what they sometimes fail to see. And spreading happiness and joy. I could not be more proud to be working with the amazing girls over at Maurices and I’m so excited for all the possibilities ahead!
