Today’s the day I get to show off Mat and Katie’s beautiful wedding day with all of you! It was such a privilege to be a part of their special day and get to document the love these two share. Our day began at St. Pat’s Catholic Church in Decatur, IL. Mat & Katie decided to stay with tradition and not see each other before so we basically started our day just before the ceremony began. It was a wonderful service filled with excellent bible verses and words of wisdom.

Once these two were pronounced man and wife and the guests exited to their cars and made their way to the reception, we started taking the family and formal portraits and then it was off to St. Teresa High School. Mat & Katie first started dating while attending school there and wanted to have at least a portrait out in front of the building. But thanks to the wonderful Jan Coventry, I was able to take these two lovebirds inside and capture some special moments in their favorite places at school.

And all too quickly we were off and headed to the reception at Scoville Golf Course, where we finished up their bridal party portraits and then headed inside for the festivities. There were toast and more toasts, and music and slideshows, and laughter and happiness galore! Everyone was clearly thrilled for these too and eager to show their excitement!
