Monday night was our monthly Central Illinois Professional Photographers meeting. This month we met in Decatur at Sports Zone where we utilized skype to hear from our speaker Kayleigh Berry of Kayleigh Berry Photography! Kayleigh talked to us about her mini sessions, which was fantastic because I’ve been wanting to offer Limited Edition sessions, but wasn’t sure where to start. So this was a wonderful opportunity to learn a little about it and ask questions. Kayleigh went into some great detail about how she plans and schedules her sessions and figures out what to do for each of her mini sessions as well as how she prices them and what she sells.

We also had our monthly print competition which was awesome! I love that we are doing these because it provides us with a chance to showcase our artwork and get critiques so we can improve our abilities. Each month we pick a theme and then try to choose an image that we think strongly reflects that and this month’s was storytelling. I was thrilled to place third in this month’s competition with my wedding ring shot. (Shared at the very bottom of this post)
