I’m so excited to share another THRIVE shoot with you all! You guys know how much I love working with THRIVE. I so enjoy our monthly meetings – spending time chatting, planning and getting to know all these amazing people is such a pleasure!

For the July issue, I was lucky enough to get to work on two awesomely, amazing shoots! Decatur has a couple awesome, new, fun things for everyone to do this summer, and I’m so excited about them! First of all, David and Shirley, owners of Macon Waves Pedal Boat Rentals and Tandemonium Tandem Bike Rentals, are the nicest! It was such a pleasure visiting with them and learning about this awesome activity that they are providing to Decatur! You can now rent enjoy some exercise and fun on the water of Lake Decatur. Let’s start with the pedal boats…. Pedal boats are so awesome! It has been YEARS since I last went pedal boating with my dad, Uncle Dan and cousin, Jessie. But I remember how much fun it was, and I cannot wait to drag my hubby out onto the lake with me! Boats can hold between 1 and 5 people so it’s a perfect pastime for some family fun. It’s only $12 for 30 minutes, $15 for an hour and $17 for 2 hours! Pedal Boats are available Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 7 pm. I definitely recommend it!

Now for the tandem bikes! If you don’t know what tandem bikes are – they are a bicycle that two people ride together. It can be a ton of fun as I witnessed from watching my brother and sister take a ride on one! If you could have seen the amount of laughing that ensued while these two rode around for their shoot – you’d want to ride one too! Tandemonium Tandem Bikes can be rented for use on weekends as well.
