I’m so excited to get to share this sweet little man’s newborn session with all of you today! I feel so lucky to have these two new parents as part of my chosen family. Rich and Cassy are so dear to me! We have enjoyed many a dinner and evening of conversation. And I was over the moon with happiness when Rich and Cassy shared the news that they were expecting. Knowing that Marlee has another sweet little cousin to grow up with makes my heart so darn happy!

Javin made his grand entrance into the world on August 25th weighing in at a little over 7 pounds of perfection. It was so wonderful to finally meet this little man and see his mommy and daddy step into the role of parents. He’s such a sweet little guy – only fussing when he needs something – and his cries are just darling too. He has long legs and fingers and toes too – I think daddy’s going to have a buddy to play basketball with him. And he has such precious little features too!

We got to take these portraits at Rich and Cassy’s home – something I love to offer my clients since it can be so stressful packing up a newborn to drive to our studio. They did great getting things ready for pictures and Javin was an exceptional little baby boy for his first professional photos. I loved that we got to use some newborn pieces I got specifically for him from Oh Love Props. And I loved, even more, being able to incorporate this special quilt into Javin’s session. We used this exact same quilt in Rich and Cassy’s engagement session and I love that it’s come full circle and was now a part of their first child’s newborn portraits!
