I can hardly believe this little man is one year old! It seems like just a few weeks ago that we were taking his newborn portraits and here we are sharing his big boy photos! And boy is he a big boy now! I had so much fun talking to Holden – he’s such a talker now, baby talk of course, but he’s definitely got a lot to say. And he’s a moving! Starting to get his balance and take steps on his own! Ah! I so love this phase!

Holden and his family met me at the Kirksville studio for his one year session. They brought some fun new outfits and some fun toys for the backdrop. Whitney made cute bunting banner and we paired it with balloons and a pop up tent for a fun little setting for Holden. Then we added a smash cake for Holden to have fun with and we just let him be himself. He sure did love his cake and Whitney did a fantastic job making it! Super cute!

We finished the session with a quick shot of Holden with his favorite cousins, Ruey and Serrell. He was so excited to see them when they arrived! We had to stop taking pictures of him so that he could go say hi! He loves his big cousin Ruey and dotes on sweet miss Serrell. It’s so sweet to see! I had fun working my magic to get all three kiddos to sit still. And I love how it worked out – they sat so nice and were perfectly content.
