Healthy Kick
This past Saturday I spent 13 hours helping the hubby lay three rooms of carpet and one room of vinyl. It was a long day, but it was so nice to be able to help him with his side job and to get to meet the wonderful family we were working for.
But after the thirteen hours of labor, I decided it’s time to make it official and start to make some strong changes in my lifestyle. I’ve been talking about it for a long time but haven’t really hunkered down to do anything about it yet. Since I got married three years ago, I’ve put on a considerable amount of weight. Mainly because my life has changed so much – I’m sitting more than I used to, I don’t have school anymore, & the stress from starting the business. But now it’s time to make a change.
So starting today we’re getting healthier in our house and I’m inviting you to join me. If you’re interested in joining in on the “Healthy Kick,” I’d love for you to send me an email ([email protected]) and let me know. Because everyone who joins in with me will be part of a contest to win a free photo session with me after the Healthy Kick contest ends in six months (which would be October). The winner will be selected by whoever has lost the greatest percentage of weight lost.
Here’s what I’ll be doing… I’ll be honest I haven’t weighed myself in a while (I don’t really want to know what the number is) so I’m going to be keeping track of pounds and inches lost. I’ve already been drinking at least 64 oz. of water a day. I’m going to make sure I get at least 3 fruits and 2 vegetables everyday. And I’m going to start incorporating more activity into my days. I’m going to cut back on cheese and sugar too.
So that’s my plan. I’d love to have you join me on this “Healthy Kick.” And we can support each other on our adventure to find our healthier selves.
