I’m so excited to share this pretty little princess with all of you today! I first met Harlow and her mommy, Heather last year for her two year session. And I was so excited when Heather contacted me again to photograph Harlow’s Three Year Portraits!

With the cold weather, we decided to photograph Harlow’s session indoors and luckily our Kirksville home-studio is perfect for indoor photos! I got the front room all set up and picked out the perfect neutral backdrop and when the girls showed up – we had some fun! Last year, Harlow was super nervous around me and shy in front of the camera. Being in a new and different place as a two year old can be a little scary. But it’s fun to see how much she has grown this past year. And to get to talk with her too since she wasn’t afraid. We talked a little about her favorite movie, Frozen, and how much she loves her friend, Bella –  a little girl her grandma adopted.

I was thrilled to get some portraits of Harlow and her momma together. I think it’s so special for kids to be able to look back and see what their mom looked like when they were young, and to see the love their mom had (and still has) for them. Of course, we had to take some portraits of Harlow in her annual birthday tutu too! And then for fun we finished up the session in her favorite Queen Elsa dress! We danced around the studio and had fun singing Let It Go!

I’m so honored to have gotten to know Heather and Harlow over the past year and thrilled I got to see them again this year! I feel blessed to count Heather as not only a client but a friend. She’s such a sweet and amazing person!
