Gratitude Project: Rainy Days and Spring Time
It has been a while since I got to share some of my personal work with all of you. So I thought I’d take a few minutes today to share some of the images I’ve been moved to capture in my downtime, an extension of my gratitude project from last year. We’ve had a bit of rain earlier this spring. I have a love hate relationship with it. I love the way the earth smells and sounds after the refreshing wash of rainfall, but I hate the muddy mess my yard becomes and the dirt the dogs track in. But I make a conscious choice to focus on the positive and so instead of dwelling on my dirty floors this spring – I chose to focus on the rain drops and green grass.
Even on colder days, I can be moved to venture outside and capture this beautiful world we live in. One of the many things I love about living in the country is the constant reminder of vast splendor of our creator and how very small I am in His plans for us. Big beautiful sunsets as though painted by some divine brush, the magical nature of green sprouts poking their heads out of the dark earth, gorgeous glowing light washing over the stunning vistas. I love it. It calms me. It fills me with such a peace and calm. And so I go outside to slow myself down. To embrace these moments and remind myself of my place in this world.
So anyway… here’s just a few images from my gratitude project that I was moved to capture this spring. I hope you find as much peace in them as I do.
