Gratitude 2014 in Print
So if you guys know me – you know I’m a big believer in printing your pictures. For the past few years I’ve had personal projects, my Gratitude Project in particular. In case you missed it from posts in years past, my Gratitude Project was something I started to help me focus on the positive. Anytime I was feeling sad or struggling with something, I’d grab my camera and start photographing the things that made me happy. Sometimes it was my dog’s wet nose or the way Kit crosses his paws. Sometimes I’d go outside and photograph our country skyscapes. Other days I’d hop in the car and drive til I saw some place I wanted to photograph.
Over the course of a year I’d collect all these images. Images that kind of show the year in review and moments that made me happy … Each year it’s really neat to see the photos of our fields from winter through fall. Watching the fields grow and the farmers come to harvest. I love seeing the varying skies we get out here – vibrant red sunsets, bright blue skies with big fluffy clouds and stormy skies too!
I love having these tangible books with all these images in them. It’s so much nicer to be able to hold this book in my hand and flip through these pages, see these images and remember the happiness creating them brought me. It’s so much nicer than just looking through the hundreds of images I took on my computer. So although today’s post is short – I wanted to share with you all a little reminder to print your photos. Because sometimes even I need that reminder!
