Giving Thanks…
Today’s post is a short one, but it’s what I’ve currently got on my mind.
I can honestly say that nothing makes my day like a thank you card or a kind email from a client. We photographers invest a lot of ourselves into our job and our work. We work long hours and late nights because we genuinely care about you, our clients. So when we receive a little affirmation from our clients about how much they love our work, or how we made their day less stressful, or that they send all their friends our way – it makes all that hard work seem less hard and more enjoyable.
In today’s age of digital photography it’s easy to feel undervalued as a photographer, especially since there’s some new person with a camera opening a photography business every week. And there’s always someone offering photos for dirt cheap because they just don’t understand why we have to charge what we do and they definitely don’t realize how their hurting the industry. But knowing that there are people out there who value what we do still, that people realize there is an art and skill level required to actually take phenomenal photos, and knowing that there are some (or many) who really love that special something that sets us apart from the rest and makes us unique… makes this job feel like the greatest gift in the world.
Well I hope you all are having a wonderful Wednesday and I’ll see you back here on Friday with Ellen’s sneak peek 🙂
