The Floyd Family

I am so excited to share a little sneak peek at the Floyd Family’s session with all of you today! I’ve been lucky enough to get to photograph this beautiful family every year for the past 3 or 4 years now! My families who come back to me year after year have a very special place in my heart. I realize what an honor it is to get to know them and watch their children grow. And these parents are trusting me to capture this fleeting time in their children’s lives. Because really – they do grow way too fast!

I met Liz and her three adorable kiddos out at Rock Springs. We’ve actually done their family session there every year for the past three years in a row – so it’s kind of cool to have that consistent location for all of their sessions. Liz always does a great job of dressing the kids up! And I was so ecstatic to see that she was dressed for portraits too this time! I think it’s so important and wonderful to get photographs of mom and dad with their kids. Some day your children will look back at these images and love being able to see themselves WITH you! Plus – studies show that it provides a sense of comfort of security to children to see images of themselves within their family unite on the walls of their home.

We got up pretty early for their session to try and beat the heat, noon-time sun, and absurd amounts of mosquitoes. And I think we were pretty successful in that! Layla always wants to have her picture taken – so she posed like a perfect little model for all her portraits. I had a ton of fun chasing the boys around and working to get portraits of them too and I’m really pretty happy with the results – especially considering Caleb and Braden are  fun energetic three year olds!

I could go on and on about how much fun this session was! But I’ll let you see a little peek at the beautiful Liz and her three cute kiddos!
