Words cannot express how excited I am to share this session with all of you today! Beloved sessions are one of my absolute favorite things to photograph! There is something just so special about them and I’ve been witness to the amazing effect these sessions have on my couples. They are more than just a portrait session – they are about taking a break from the busy-ness of life and reconnecting and remembering why you fell in love and how amazing your relationship is!

This year was Dan and Erin’s 5th Wedding Anniversary so they wanted to do something special to document this milestone… Thus the Beloved Session! I was so honored to get to capture this for them. Last year had a lot of changes for them, a move, a new job, and Dan in CNRA school – it’s been crazy and busy and more than a little stressful. Erin told me she felt like this Beloved session couldn’t have come at a more perfect time.

So I met them at their house. We talked. I asked them some questions. I took some video. Then, we went outside in the backyard of the home they recently remodeled and we documented them. Their love. Some tokens of affection. Beautiful words written to each other. We played some games. There were hugs and kisses and some tears too. And the point of the whole thing to remember the love they have for one another. How strong they are together and how these two can overcome anything together!

I have to say that I’m very honored to call Dan and Erin more than just my clients, but also my friends. I’ve watched the many challenges they’ve had to overcome and I’ve watched them grow as a couple while working through it all. I’ve seen them in the tough times and in the good times, and through it all, I’ve never seen their love waver. These two are the real deal! I am so proud of them and all they’ve accomplished together and as individuals and I know they have a bright and awesome future ahead of them!
