Congrats to the Class of 2013 and Especially My Baby Brother, Jeremy!
Well today is Friday and it’s a big day in my family. My youngest brother, Jeremy, is graduating from high school today. It’s such a surreal feeling knowing that after today he will be embarking on anew stage in his life! I remember when this little boy came home from the hospital and how much I wanted him to be my sister…not my brother. I even tried calling him Bridgette for a while hoping that would somehow magically convert him into the sisterly companion I’d always wanted. But this cute, sweet, little rolly-poly butter ball of a child rubbed off on me and I consider myself incredibly blessed to have him for a brother.
He is smart, and strong, and incredibly detemined! He knows what he wants and what he believes and he stands by them. When he graduated from 8th grade I told him that he could do or be anything and I still believe that! He’s the perfect blend of me and Joel. He’s athletic and makes friends easy like Joel but he’s also got the smarts and artistic nature like me. I truly believe that he can do anything!
I’m so proud of all he’s accomplished the past two years he’s been at LSA! He’s become an amazing basketball player, set a great example to his peers and underclassmen, he’s done well with his classwork, and he’s made some awesome friends. His basketball season was so great that he was able to get recruited to Millikin University, and I’m so thrilled to know that he will be attending and playing ball at my alma mater. So to all those graduating as part of the Class of 2013 and especially to my baby bro – Congratulations! May you be blessed in all your future endeavors and work hard for the things you want and you will certainly go far!
Happy Friday!
