I was asked by Kate at the Children’s Museum of Illinois to pop by on Wednesday night last week and take some pictures of the Fairy Tale Ball. It was such a fun event I had a blast joining a group and following them through all the activities! A bunch of the high school girls actually showed up in the gorgeous dresses all dolled up to play the role of princesses for the little ones who came to the festivities! Such a gorgeous group of ladies too! And of course – we also had a very handsome prince charming present to help too! 😉

There were lots of opportunities for parents to take pictures! When the kids came in they could get their pictures taken with all the princesses. There was a bunch of information sheets with different princesses from all over the world and a mirror so you could see yourself with a tiara on. There was even a magic carriage they could sit in for a photo.

Then the bell rang and it was time to wander to our activities. The first activity my group went to was tiara making. They all got to make their very own tiaras! How cool is that! And they got to learn the rules of being a princess too!

Then it was story time! We got to hear two stories about different princesses and at they end they all got to pick a sucker from the sucker tree.

The third activity was the ball room… You can’t be a princess without attending a dance or two. And boy did these girls know how to dance!

They got to end their night with dessert… cake and punch!

A couple people asked me to take a quick picture. I was more than happy to snag a picture of this dad dressed to match his two gorgeous princesses!

I ended the night with a quick photo of Shannon and Jackie. You may remember them as two of my seniors from last year. 🙂
