Andrea Whitacre Senior Photography | DCS Decatur
I am so over the moon to share this lovely lady’s session with all of you! Miss Andrea is one of my senior models this year and I have so enjoyed getting to know her more and more as this year has gone by! I first met Andrea last year when I was taking pictures for Silas Martin, a boy I’m sure many of you have heard about in Decatur. Andrea attended DCS with Silas and had helped set up Stand By Silas to show support for their friend. So when she signed up to be part of our model program I was thrilled to get to work with her all year long!
I feel like I’ve been blessed with amazing seniors this year! They are smart, funny, gorgeous, and talented. And Andrea definitely has all of those qualities! You only need to chat with Andrea for a couple minutes to see that she is a compassionate person with a heart for service. She is also incredibly bright! She’s already been accepted to Olivet Nazarene University, and she started her senior year off with all A+ over at Decatur Christian. She knows that going to college isn’t cheap so she applied for a couple jobs working retail at the mall over the summer and she’s still working those two jobs now. Plus she’s applied for a received scholarships for her outstanding achievements… So I think it’s safe to say she’s one smart cookie! We can’t forget that she is also on yearbook staff, as well as involved in choir and drama.
I met Andrea and her mom out at Rock Springs on a beautiful fall afternoon. We went over what outfits we were going to be wearing and then starting to choosing our locations for each outfit. I always try to get my seniors a variety of looks so we found a lot of different fun backdrops at the park. We finished at Rock Springs with her sweet pups, Ginger and Misty who were very good puppies for her session!
We finished Andrea’s session in downtown Decatur. I always love providing that contrast of nature with the urban architectural feel of downtown. Plus it gives us some different looks too, which are super fun! I had so much fun walking around town and talking with this young lady and I’m so happy that I’ve gotten to know her! She is such a sweet and special girl and I know she’s got big things ahead of her!
Here’s just a little peek at some of her favorites!
