Andrea & Richards Engagement Session | Decatur, IL | Engagement Photography

The weather was wonderful this past Saturday. It had warmed up nicely outside and the sun was shining when I met up with Andrea & Richard at Rock Springs for their engagement session. I had been looking forward to taking pictures of these two for quite a while since Andrea booked me for her wedding over a year ago. I knew I was going to have fun taking pictures for them and I wasn’t wrong. We spent most of the session laughing…even when we were trying to be serious 😉

Andrea and RC are high school sweethearts. They met through mutual friends in high school and they’ve been doing a long distance relationship while Andrea was studying to be a special education teacher at SIU Edwardsville. She’s already got a job teaching at an Elementary school and loving her job.

RC proposed to Andrea in a pretty cute way if you ask me. There is a cupcake shop Andrea likes down in Southern Illinois, and he put the ring in the cupcake. Perfect! Combine a girls favorite treat with a life-long promise. Sweet! 🙂
