The weather was wonderful this past Saturday. It had warmed up nicely outside and the sun was shining when I met up with Andrea & Richard at Rock Springs for their engagement session. I had been looking forward to taking pictures of these two for quite a while since Andrea booked me for her wedding over a year ago. I knew I was going to have fun taking pictures for them and I wasn’t wrong. We spent most of the session laughing…even when we were trying to be serious

Andrea and RC are high school sweethearts. They met through mutual friends in high school and they’ve been doing a long distance relationship while Andrea was studying to be a special education teacher at SIU Edwardsville. She’s already got a job teaching at an Elementary school and loving her job.

RC proposed to Andrea in a pretty cute way if you ask me. There is a cupcake shop Andrea likes down in Southern Illinois, and he put the ring in the cupcake. Perfect! Combine a girls favorite treat with a life-long promise. Sweet!
