I get to share a super special couple with you guys today! Long before I owned Green Tree Media, I was an intern at a local advertising agency – Jones + Thomas. Some of my fondest memories are from my days working there. At the time, J+T was quite big and I got to work with so many awesome people. Everyday was fun and I was always laughing. Not only that, but I learned a lot and I got to learn from some crazy talented people!

One of those awesome people is Adam and when he and Shannon contacted me about possibly doing their wedding photography – I had to say yes! And you guys – I only take a very limited number of weddings… I’m pretty selective about it. So I must really like these two to say yes… Yup – yup I do!

I always knew Adam was creative and artistic – it’s kind part of the job for a designer. I also always new that he was really nice. But it’s amazing the new things you can learn about someone when you get to see them through the eyes of their lovely fiance. The way Shannon’s face lights up and the excitement in her voice when she talks about Adam is just the most beautiful thing! It was so fun hearing both of them relay their version of the proposal – Shannon thought it was incredibly romantic and Adam wanted it to be perfection! Truly – I cannot think of anyone more well suited for Adam! Shannon is beautiful, sweet, funny, and brilliant! And together these two are sure to be an amazing couple!

Adam and Shannon braved the cold this November (one of the few cold Saturdays we had) and we met out at the lake. Lake Decatur has a special significance for these two since this is where Adam proposed! We walked around for a little bit and took a variety of images for them. They were so fun to work with – I had a hard time not just continuing to shoot. But it was chilly and I didn’t want poor Shannon to freeze – so I did my darnedest to keep us moving and get them a bunch of fun options!
