One of the things I have found super beneficial to my business and my photography skills has been to specialize. What I mean is to find my niche – the category of photography that I focus on. At this point in my career – I specialize in Seniors and Families. Those are the two things I feel the most confident in because I’ve fully developed my style and abilities in those areas and because they are hold significant meaning for me.

But even though I specialize – it doesn’t mean that I refuse to do other photography work. And commercial work is one of those areas that I very much enjoy doing even though it’s not my specialty. So when Mike of Hendricks and Carr called to see if I was free to do a commercial shoot for Vieweg Real Estate – I was happy to work with him again!

I have to say – the ladies and gents at Vieweg are some of the friendliest and most fun people I have ever met. I arrived at their office in the morning and got set up to do everyone’s head shots. Everyone was in good spirits. The girls helped each other get ready. And everyone joked around and had a good time. Because this shoot was for some marketing pieces – we also got a couple candids taking as well.

I had so much fun photographing these awesome people – I’m sure that they’d be fantastic to work with in a real estate capacity too. I was browsing their website the other day and they do some things very different from your average real estate agency. Like their agents are paid a salary instead of a commission, which means they are more focused on taking care of you than making the most bang for their buck. And I could tell this excitement for their clients was there when I was there. Several of these lovely people were talking excitedly about having found the perfect place for a client and being so happy that they were able to take care of them. It was really amazing to see and hear – these people really do care about their clients!

Plus they continue to provide service even after the sale! They also offer experienced professional services in construction, property management and maintenance too! I tell you what – if I ever grow to a point where I feel like I HAVE to get a commercial space… I’m pretty sure these will be the people I call!
