So Friday last week was my first official day photographing for Saint Teresa High School in Decatur. I was excited and nervous at the same time! Excited to get to work with these awesome guys and gals and nervous because I’d never done sports portraits before. There was a time when I would have said high school seemed like only yesterday… but the truth is – guys I’m getting old – it no longer seems like yesterday. After 10 years – a lot has changed, but I’m really excited to be moving forward with Saint Teresa and helping them document their sports teams throughout the year.

So since it’s Winter sports time – that means basketball. I got up bright and early (well not so much bright because the sun wasn’t even up when I left my house) and headed to Decatur. I got all my gear inside and got prepped for the athletes to arrive. Saint Teresa has five basketball teams this year. For the guys – there’s freshman, JV and Varsity. And the girls have a JV and Varsity team. I had a lot of fun working with all these awesome young people and photographing them for their basketball photos. I hope you guys had fun too!

It was also on this day that we went ahead photographed all the Saint Teresa clubs and groups for the yearbook. So that means NHS, WYSE, Drama Club, and even Juggling Club. We also did the annual sibling photos, which are always fun! We did these when I was in high school too – so it was fun doing these for the Class of 2015! And we finished the day off with big class photos of each class in their hall. But I think I’ll keep those a surprise for all of you when you buy your Saint Teresa yearbook this year.

So today – here’s just a quick little peek at the Basketball team photos. I should be placing orders for all you guys by the end of the week to my lab and getting them back to you ASAP!
