This fun little images has been floating around on facebook the past few days and it sure has provided myself and a number of my photography friends with a good chuckle. It is so true! I don’t know what it is about October specifically that it always ends up being THE busiest month in my year. Maybe it’s just fall – that wonderful time of year when the leaves  begin to change colors on the trees. Maybe it’s the lull after the craziness of school starting up. Or maybe it’s the realization that the holidays are just around the corner. Whatever the case may be – October ends up being the most book month of the year – and we photographers do our darnedest to stay in front of the work we take on.

Fall is definitely my favorite time of year – so I certainly can’t argue with my clients when they want their portrait sessions scheduled for this time of year. Several years ago though – I learned the hard way the need to leave room in the calendar in case we needed to reschedule due to the weather. And I finally feel like I’ve got that method figured out much better! It’s still my busiest month – but now I’ve got a little more wiggle room 😉

So if you see my out and about this month and I look frazzled or distracted – now you’ll know why. haha. Odds are I’m probably thinking about at least a dozen different things I need to work on. (And that’s just the stuff I’m doing for work!) One of my highest prioritizes is to take really great care of my clients. To pay attention to the details and be certain my clients are getting the best service possible. And in October – I’m double and triple checking my work because I’m juggling a bunch of different tasks all at once and I don’t want to miss anything. Because ultimately – I’m happiest when you guys are happy!
