A Snowy Weekend
It’s Monday and if you live in Central Illinois – I’m sure you know we got SNOW! And lots of it! Saturday morning I woke up ready to get prepped for a senior session and looked out my window to a white-coated winter wonderland! Snow! Everywhere! And no way out. It’s one of the pros and cons to living in the country. The con being – we easily get snowed in out here & the pro being – we easily get snowed in out here. 😉
Needless to say, I sadly informed my client that we had to reschedule since we couldn’t get out of our drive. But I decided not to let my Saturday be wasted. Ryan and I wrapped presents, I worked on print orders, and some things for the business next year, and of course – I took some pictures of the beautiful snowy scene around us. With living in the country we have a lot of open land and quite a few trees and some very cute country houses and barns around us. I’ll be honest – I don’t own any snow boots or water-resistant shoes and I didn’t want to get my feet all cold and wet – so I took all of these from my front porch. But I still think they capture the view pretty well.
And of course I had to let my furbabies enjoy the snow! Kit has loved the snow since he was a puppy and I look forward to his chance of re-experiencing it every year. Lucy also seems to enjoy it. She’s not as much of an outdoors dog as Kit. She usually runs out – does her business and comes right back to the door, ready to go inside. Whereas, Kit would be perfectly content to be allowed to wander around the yard for a good long while. They both had fun running around before coming back inside though. Here’s a little glimpse at our little winter world 🙂
