My Little Brother Got Married!!

July 1, 2013

Well you may have noticed the lack of activity on our social media sites the past few days. I’m taking today to get re-organized after wedding weekend madness, but I thought I’d take a few minutes to post a little something for you all. Crazy to think that my little brother (who is much taller than me) is not so little anymore. He’s all grown up and a married man now.

We traveled to the far side of St. Louis on Thursday for Joel and Stacey’s rehearsal dinner and prepped for their Friday wedding on June 28th. It was a beautiful event and so great to see so many family and friends able to attend. I wasn’t the hired photographer for their big day – instead I just got to be the sister. Which I’ll admit I really enjoyed! It was nice to be able to attend the wedding and watch the events and chat with guests instead of prepping and planning and rushing all day. However, if you know me, you know that I can’t not bring my camera to something so special. So I did take a few pictures throughout the day, but really only a few and not many of the bride and groom as I did my best to stay out of their photographers way. Here’s just a little peek at last Friday.

As always – I needed proof I wore a dress, since it so rarely happens haha. I actually wore heels too believe it or not!

And my dad will probably kill me for this one, but I was picking on him for not giving me a real smile and this is what I got… At least now I know where Jeremy gets his cheese face from 😉

This is my parents with our longtime friends, Robbie and Jimmy. We’ve known them for a long time and Robbie came all the way from Florida for the wedding! It was SO great to see them again!

I had to get one of just Robbie and Jimmy too. (I even managed to get Jimmy smiling!)

More friends like family! Scott was in Joel’s class all through grade school and high school and we’ve been friends with his family for years!

And that wasn’t all! Saturday morning – we got up and left St. Louis and headed back for home to attend the wedding of Ryan’s cousin, Joe and his lovely bride, Holly! I will share the few pictures I took at it another day, but it was a crazy, wonderful, awesome weekend filled with love and family and friendship. And we couldn’t be more thrilled for the two couples who united in holy matrimony this weekend and made the conscious choice to move forward as husband and wife together through the ups and downs and all the joys in between! Congrats Joel & Stacey and Holly & Joe! We are SO happy for you!
